Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm water 110°F
  • teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 21/2 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in olive oil and salt.
  3. Add flour gradually until a dough forms.
  4. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 45 minutes.
  6. Punch down, divide, and shape as desired.
