Homemade Stromboli

Homemade stromboli filled with cheese and classic Italian meats, served with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough homemade or boxed
  • 2 –3 cups provolone cheese sliced or shredded
  • Pepperoni salami, ham (as desired)
  • Mushrooms and banana peppers optional
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • Pizza sauce for dipping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Roll dough out to twice the size of a cookie sheet.
  3. Place half the dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
  4. Layer cheese, meats, vegetables, and more cheese.
  5. Fold dough over and seal edges.
  6. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and basil.
  7. Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Slice and serve with pizza sauce.
